Lindsey Borden is
a native of Honeoye Falls. She graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester, New York with
a B.S. in Music Education and studied flute with Glennda Dove.
Lindsey continued her music studies at Northwestern University in
Evanston, Illinois. She got her M.M. in Music Education here and studied conducting
with John Paynter.
Lindsey has been an instrumental music teacher in the greater Rochester
area for nine years having taught in Victor, Honeoye, Wayland and Honeoye Falls-Lima
Central Schools.
Lindsey is a former member of the Perinton Concert Band and a founding
member of the Greater Rochester Music Educators Wind Band under the direction of Corky
Fabrizio.
Currently Lindsey is enjoying her most rewarding job ever as a full
time mother of three girls - Kelsey, Emily and Amanda. She continues to offer
private flute lessons as well.
The love of music runs in the Borden family - her husband Mark plays
French horn in the community band and is the "substitute" director when Lindsey
is on maternity leave! Her father-in-law Dave Borden also plays euphonium in the
band.
